REACH
EU REACH compliance Status: REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 ton or more per year. Generally it applies to all individual chemical substances on their own, in preparations or in articles (if the substance is intended to be released during normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use from an article).
Cablepoint fully supports and hereby declares complete conformance to the requirements of REACH’s 181 SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern), the European Community Regulation standard about chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006).
Cablepoint is committed to providing safe products consistent with the improvement and protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.
Cablepoint currently conforms up to 10th January 2018 Amendment 2018/35 and will continue to conform to the requirements of REACH as new amendments are released. Specifically, the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern for Authorisation listed by ECHA (European Chemicals Agency). http://echa.europa.eu/candidate-list-table.
WEEE
WEEE is the acronym for Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment – Directive 2013 No. 3113. This regulation mandates the treatment, recovery, and recycling of electric and electronic equipment. All applicable products in EU markets must pass the WEEE compliance and carry the “Wheelie Bin” sticker from August 13th 2006. Cablepoint also recognised the regulation update in January 2014.
Cablepoint have a specific procedure to follow in order to dispose of WEEE in the correct manner. All WEEE products that are generated are segregated and stored until we have a reasonable amount to dispose of. Once we reach this level of disposable produce, we contact our approved recycling provider and arrange the removal of the WEEE under the waste directives stated above.
CONFLICT MATERIALS STATEMENT
Conflict Minerals Compliance Status: As a supplier of products containing metals, Cablepoint Ltd undertakes due diligence to determine if ‘conflict minerals’ are used in the materials we purchase.
Conflict minerals are described as Gold (Au), Tantalum (Ta), Tungsten (W) and Tin (Sn) that are sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo or adjoining countries from mines controlled by non-governmental military groups.
We have reviewed our existing supply base and can confirm that there is no indication that any supplied components used in products manufactured at Cablepoint Ltd contain conflict minerals.
Cablepoint’s sole liability for incorrectly certifying a product shall be either replacement of the Cablepoint product or alternatively and at the sole discretion of Cablepoint, return of the purchase price paid for the relevant Cablepoint product.
